Drawings and sheets
A Calq view is a drawing, not a screenshot of a 3D scene. It has a scale, dimension strings laid out at that scale, keys, tags and a place on a sheet.
Scale belongs to the view
Each view has a scale from one table: metric from 1:1 to 1:10000 and imperial from 12" = 1'-0" to 1" = 200'. Zooming never changes it; the reading shows both, for example 1:50 at 38%, where 100% is the size it prints. The scale bar is exactly its metres times the pixels per metre.
Dimensions, keys and leaders
- Automatic dimension strings in eight kinds: openings, walls, grid, overall, storeys, sills and heads, interior and rooms
- Four sets to choose from: Overall, Outline, Working (the default) and Full
- Colour, number and view keys; a small room can be numbered with a key, named outside on a leader, or left unnamed
- Leaders in six shapes with six kinds of end, the same for every tag and every dimension
Drawing styles
One switch sets the paper, the pens, the cut and the shading for every view: mylar, card, wash, ink, blueline, pencil and sepia.
