What Calq is

Calq is a BIM modeller in the browser where an architect and Calq AI draw the same building together. A facade, a massing, a storey of flats or a dome is one move from a built-in engine instead of placing parts one by one, and everything leaves as open IFC or drawing sheets.

The name comes from calque, tracing paper: the sheet everyone draws on.

Why

Much of the time in a BIM model goes to repeating the same placements and redrawing the same conventions. Calq puts each of those in one table and one engine, so the work goes to the design, and keeps the model in the open standards so it can leave for any tool.

The company

Calq is made in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, and was founded in 2024. The interface is in English and French. Calq is not related to other companies or products that use the name.
