Split, trim, fillet and match

Cut a wall in two, close a corner, round one with a curved wall, and give one wall another's type.

In a shop unit left open at its north-east corner, you will split the north wall, close the corner, round the south-west corner and match a partition to another.

01Split

Choose Split (SL) in the Edit toolset under Lines and corners, and click the north wall where it should be cut: it becomes two walls, end to end, each of its own; one of the two stands selected, ready to change or delete.

Split: the north wall cut in two where it was clicked.

02Trim

The north and east walls stop short of each other. Choose Trim (TR) and click the two walls: each is cut or carried on to their corner, and they meet there, joined.

Trim: the north and east walls carried on to meet at their corner.

03Fillet

Choose Fillet, set R on the cursor line to 2 m and click the west wall, then the south wall: both are cut back and joined by a curved wall of 2 m radius, a real arc of wall.

Fillet: the south-west corner rounded by a curved wall of 2 m radius.

04Match

The partition on the west is a metal stud partition 100; the one on the east has no type. Choose Match (MA), click the source, then each wall that should take its type: the east partition becomes a metal stud partition 100 too, its thickness with it. Esc picks a new source.

Match: the east partition given the type of the west one.
You should now haveA wall split, a corner trimmed, a corner rounded and a partition matched to another.
