Calq from ChatGPT, Claude and other AI assistants
Calq has one Model Context Protocol address. An assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude signs in with your Calq account and builds and edits your models with Calq's tools.
- Available
What it does
Calq offers its modelling tools at one address, https://api.calq.live/mcp, to any client of the Model Context Protocol. The assistant signs in with your Calq account (OAuth 2.1, you approve the assistant by name) and can then list your models, create one, read it, build walls, rooms and storeys, check it, export IFC and show a drawing.
The thinking is done by the assistant itself, so it spends no Calq AI credits. What it does shows on any board where the model is open.
How to connect
- Add a custom connector or MCP server in the assistant with the address https://api.calq.live/mcp
- Sign in with your Calq account and approve the assistant
- Ask the assistant to list your models or create one
Where it stops
A free account runs every tool except the ones that spend on Calq's side for each call (reading a drawing or a photo, renders): those need a paid plan. Calq is not made by or affiliated with OpenAI or Anthropic; the connection uses the open protocol.
Questions
What does Calq MCP enable?
An MCP assistant signed in with your Calq account can create, read, build, check and export your Calq models with Calq's own tools.
Does it cost Calq credits?
No. The assistant does its own thinking; only the tools that run a model or a renderer on Calq's side need a paid plan.
